I am a visual artist who lives and works in Canberra, Australia. I have a printmaking background and combine photographic screen print with digital and electronic media. Since 2006 I've been working with researchers in the ANU Department of Applied Mathematics and using 3D Microcomputed X-ray technology to create animated projection installations from volumetric data rendered in Drishti.
I am proud to be the 2017 Recipient of the CAPO Fellowship Award.
In 2011 to further my research in this area, in I became a PhD candidate in Photography and Digital Arts at the ANU School of Art. I am now working on a project where we are germinating seeds and creating timelapse animations with 3D Micro-X-rays.
In addition to my practice I am currently a lecturer in Foundation Studies, and also teach Art Theory courses for the Centure for Art History and Art Theory at the ANU School of Art.
I am also proud to be involved with Megalo Print Studio & Gallery, of which I am a member, a tutor in screen printing and, until recently a temporary staff member, twice artist in resident, and past board member (from 2007) and Chair of the Board, (2010 - 2014)
I'd like to acknowledge the support from Oz 3D Optics who often supply me with optical glasses for my installations!
A huge thanks to Art Direction for their fantastic help in upgrading this this website, and to Patrick's ongoing expertise.
